Crown of Gold
The man, a coward, his heart full of hate,
The one who cast us our ghastly fate,
His deeds so low, but his rule so great,
And he wore a crown of gold.
The man, known little, no greatness made,
Eventually, his very presence would fade,
He did no harm, but he made no change,
And he wore a crown of silver.
The man unknown, but the best of all,
He is the one that survived the fall,
When the arrogance above him stood so tall,
And he wore no crown at all.
